Mauga Mu Sweeps the Junior Division in California Competition!

September 10-11 marked the 2016 ITO Fire Knife Competition held in California. Three of our junior fire knife warriors flew from Hawaii to compete in this competition and not only did all three placed, but since they were in the same division, they made a clean sweep! Congratulations to Toa for winning 1st place, Kekai for winning 2nd and Makoa for winning 3rd place. We are so proud of you guys and all of your hard work is paying off! Have fun in California and return home safely.

Kalena’s Wins Third Place in Heiva i Waikiki

This weekend marked the First Annual Heiva i Waikiki hosted by Tahiti Mana, a well renown Tahitian dance group in Oahu, HI. Many groups from around the island and beyond came together for this event and in all this weekend turned out to be a wonderful experience!

Kalena’s Polynesian ‘Ohana placed 3rd and we are so proud of our students’ hard work and effort! Our very own Chasmine won 3rd place in her solo division as well. BRAVA ladies and we look forward to next year. Excellent job to all who entered!
