2004 Heiva I Orlando

Competing this year was a great experience. For a few of our students, this was their first time, but by the looks of it, they made it seem like they have done a competition before. Congratulations and Great Job to everyone that participated in the Heiva I Orlando competition. This will be an experience for us to definitely learn from...especially because many--too many--of our competitors experienced a "wardrobe malfunction" which, in some cases, affected their performance drastically. So to everyone, please learn from past experiences...being it yours or others, because a mistake is only negative if you don't learn from it.

  • 1st Place: Drumming -- Phil, Mikaele, Bill, Fili, Jeff, Isitolo, Edwin, and James
  • 2nd Place: Ori Tahiti Vahine (ages 9-11) -- Samantha
  • 3rd Place: Ori Tahiti Vahine (ages 9-11) -- Laarne
  • 3rd Place: Ori Tahiti Vahine (ages 12-16) -- Erihka
  • 1st Place: Ori Tahiti Tane (ages 12-16) -- Mikaele
  • 1st Place: Ori Tahiti Vahine (ages 25+) -- Karin
